How to Position Your Startup for a Successful Exit

All entrepreneurs look for a liquidity event. Acquisitions are lot more common than start ups going public. Learn about the process of getting acquired? Should you use a banker? How long does it take? What are the things that can kill an M&A deal? What to do and what not to do? How to negotiate and how to close?

Naeem will address all of these questions as he recently went through the process where his company was acquired by Oracle. This informative, high energy workshop is a must attend for every entrepreneur.

Register and Join Naeem Zafar for a workshop on How to position your start up for a successful exit.

Workshop #1: Creating a Business Plan That Can Attract Funding.
This Workshop is aimed at businesses already showing some traction, and seeking clarity to develop a business plan and an investor pitch that can attract funding.

The first part of the Workshop will outline what is that investors look for and how to get their attention. The second part will be business plan presentations by selected entrepreneurs to a panel of judges (funders and angels) who will provide feedback. These entrepreneurs will have received one-on-one mentoring for two weeks before the Conference. If you would like to be one of these presenters check the criteria at: http://www.tanconf.org/usa/tancon2012/2012workshops.php

You must submit an outline of your business for consideration before April 18.

Note: This Workshop does not provide direct access to funding sources, or guarantee funding.

Workshop #2: Business Mentorship for Start-up and Existing companies.
This workshop is a fast paced interactive 45-minute session where you will be part of a small group of entrepreneurs, discussing common business problems with an experienced mentor. This may be the first step in a longer-term relationship with the mentor as your business develops.
